Kathy Braatz is a former military police officer and an Army veteran with more than two decades of experience as a senior Quality Engineer at a top defense contractor.

She has made Northeast Tarrant County her home since 2010 and has a proven track record of effective problem solving and servant leadership.

After attending the University of South Florida as an academic scholar, Kathy served in the Army before moving to Texas to complete her Bachelor’s of Business Administration while working in the defense industry.

Throughout her career, Kathy has overseen supply chains to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and has worked to get to the root cause and find solutions for issues when they arise.

In recent years, she has shifted from being an active voter to an active participant in the political process - volunteering as a voter registrar and a precinct chair in Colleyville and serving as president of the Northeast Tarrant County Democrats club.

More than two decades of management and hard work has prepared Kathy for the next level of effective and thoughtful leadership. She is excited about the possibility of representing each and every constituent of Northeast Tarrant County’s precinct 3 in the Commissioner’s Court and implementing policies to benefit all residents of Tarrant County.
